Wisconsin State AED Laws

 Summary of Requirements

Obtaining a physician's prescription is a prerequisite for acquiring a defibrillator. While specific legislation regarding CPR/AED training and notification of use is absent, there is a requirement to provide written notification to the nearest emergency medical services program when an automatic or semiautomatic defibrillator is deployed. Maintenance and testing of the defibrillator should adhere to the manufacturer's operational guidelines.
